As a seasoned executive search professional, Jorge Herrera is responsible for the management and execution of search assignments across a broad range of industries. He works closely with clients to understand their organizations and develops a search strategy to exceed expectations. In his career as an executive recruiter, Jorge has completed searches in general management, sales, marketing, finance, accounting, legal, and information technology.
Mr. Herrera's executive search approach is focused on serving his clients, and he has demonstrated the ability to take ownership of the search process. He strives to find the best and most-qualified candidate for his clients, consistently delivering high-quality results. He is convinced that having the right people is key to growth.
Mr. Herrera joined Gary Kaplan & Associates from Countrywide Financial Corporation where he partnered with internal clients and executed senior-level recruiting assignments for the company. He successfully placed the company's first Chief Privacy Officer, a strategic position for this Fortune 500 diversified financial services company. While in this role, Mr. Herrera was responsible for the recruiting of executives for highly-specialized positions at Countrywide Home Loans, Countrywide Wholesale Business Channel, and Countrywide Insurance Group.
As a Consultant and member of the Consumer Products and Services Practice at executive search firm Ray & Berndtson, Mr. Herrera managed and executed recruiting assignments in a variety of industries including consumer durables and non-durables, financial services, and professional services. Prior to joining Ray & Berndtson, Mr. Herrera was an Associate with Heidrick & Struggles where he was a member of the Information Technology and Industrial Practices. In this role, he collaborated with the partners in the development of search strategies and executed numerous executive searches for Chief Executive Officer, Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operating Officer, and other senior positions in financial services, manufacturing, professional services, technology, and aviation.
Mr. Herrera was born and raised in Bolivia, South America. He has international search experience, having worked on assignments for clients with a presence in Latin America, and is fluent in Spanish and English. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Southern California.
